Bragging rights!

Well, no point in having one of these if you can'r gloat once in a while. As some of you are well aware I'm something of a badminton addict. This year the club team that I play for has been doing rather well. We won division 2 by a massive 1 point and last night was the final of the Leeds & District Handicap cup.

Format is 3 pairs per team, play each other 2 games to 15, so 18 games basically. Then at the end you add up all the points and open up the sealed envelope and one team gets an extra handicap score added.

We were up against a team from the division below us so were expecting to give away a fair amount of points - we were guessing around 100, but nowhere near the 171.5 points the actually got!! Still, we managed to beat them by 174 points earning a 2.5 point victory! We like to keep it exciting for the spectators you see. :-)

Maybe you should challenge Elaina to a match. I believe it's something she enjoys and has done a lot of umpiring too (european championship level at least)
